The costs would be calculated either on the actual weight or the volume weight, whichever is the greater. You can calculate the volume weight by multiplying the dimensions L x W x H in centimetres and divide the result by 6000.

length x width x height cms / 6000  =  volume weight kg

Example 1:

Your suitcase has a weight of 46.3kg and dimensions of 120x80x60cms

120 x 80 x  60 / 6000  = 96kg volume weight                                         

Therefore the chargeable weight is 96kg

 

Example 2:

Your suitcase has a weight of 46.3kg and dimensions of 80x60x40cms

80 x 60 x  40 / 6000  = 32kg volume weight

Therefore the chargeable weight is 46.3kg
